Arlene Amati
California DEN

With 27 years of experience teaching business and educational technology classes at California Area School District, Arlene Amati brings a lot of knowledge, passion and energy to PA DEN. Arlene was one of the first Discovery Educators in Pennsylvania and she has been extremely active. Arlene has conducted countless unitedstreaming trainings, had almost 100 students participate in the DEN National Poster Contest and is excited to attend the special DEN pre-conference session at this year’s PA Educational Technology Expo and Conference. Her work in southwestern Pennsylvania is well known and respected by her students and peers. Year after year, Arlene’s students do very well in state and international computer competitions and exhibitions such as the PA High School Computer Fair and the National Educational Computing Conference’s student showcase.
Arlene began using unitedstreaming in 2004 as a result of a grant through the local educational service agency, Intermediate Unit #1.Arlene works regularly with California Area SD staff to teach them how to effectively integrate unitedstreaming into their instructional plans.
“From the beginning it was obvious that unitedstreaming changed everything. Being able to provide on-demand educational videos in the right length, with standards-based segments any time and anywhere and on any subject gives teachers access to grade appropriate instructional tools that students readily embrace.”
