Carol Miller is from Auburn, Maine, and a New England STAR Discovery Educator. She has been in the field of education for over 30 years. Carol has her Masters Degree in Technology Education. Her current role in education is as a Site Coordinator in a K-8 Professional Development School (PDS) partnership with the University of Southern Maine – Lewiston Auburn Campus. The Collaborative Learning And School Success (CLASS) teacher certification program is a pre-service teacher program, which is field based in two site schools, Auburn Middle School and Sherwood Heights Elementary School, both in Auburn.

She has always been interested in technology and its use as an educational/learning tool in schools. She enjoys integrating technology across the curriculum to motivate and engage children. She also enjoys working with pre-service and in-service teachers to help them integrate technology more effectively in their classrooms.

Carol remains very active in the DEN community. She spent one week this summer in Valley Forge, PA, with the Northeast DEN Members at the Northeast Regional Institute. She recently planned and hosted a Day of Discovery in Auburn, ME, for her district and 7 surrounding districts. She is always thinking about the next step and now is encouraging other educators like herself to be involved as a STAR DEN Member.
