Clayanimation and Collaborative learning across the curriculum-Art, Music, Technology and Science

Researching has taken on a new meaning for our second graders! Students research planets, or animals, or whatever the subject may be. They use books and the Internet to gather data. In art class, students create their 3-dimensional habitats or landforms and figures. In class they create scripts and/or storyboards to share their data. Students then take digital pictures, using the stop motion technique. All pictures are them imported into Imovie where students then create a clayanimation to share their data. In music class, third graders use GarageBand to create Musical scores to accompany these videos. Second graders record their voices for any narrative that is needed.Students, classroom teacher, Art teacher, Music teacher, and Information Specialist all working together to make education exciting and meaningful while meeting standards! CCSD 46 - Prairieview School Projecthttp://www.d46.org/PV/Claymation.htm
