Day of Discovery at Xavier High School, Appleton, WI

This interactive event will be filled with presentations showcasing how to effectively use multimedia during instruction, real-life examples from teachers across the country, access to the Discovery Educator Network resources, and of course, prizes and food!

The highlight will be a special session hosted by Steve Dembo on Web 2.0 in the classroom.  The rest of the day will be divided into two sections, Google Earth and Classroom Integration Tips.  During the Google Earth session participants will receive an overview of Google Earth, learn about integrating Discovery Education streaming into Goolge Earth, and leave with integration ideas to take back to their classroom.  During the Classrom Integration session we will focus on mamking connections between readily available programs such as Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere Elements, and Audacity and ways to integrate them into your regular classroom instruction.
