Our district uses iPods in our high school AP Psychology classes. The teacher records her lectures and ActivBoard flipcharts for the week onto the iPods. If a student is absent (which can be very detrimental in an AP class!), the student checks out an iPod, listens to what he missed at his convenience, and doesn't miss a beat!
In elementary schools, we have used them to record reading conferences. A different child can take the iPod/earbuds home after his/her conference. The parent can not only listen to their child read, but can hear the teacher's comments on strategies, etc. This really helps parents understand how to help their children at home.

that sounds like a great idea to keep kids up to date on their make up work. I have a website for my class. Does any one know how to put mp3's up so that kids could download the information from class? We are straing the Laying the Foundation program next year and I think that would be helpful for them to keep up.
I have been looking for ways to increase the use of technology in my classroom. I have heard of using Ipods in the classroom. I'm curious as to how they are being used? Also any other suggestions on incorporating technology?
