I would suggest that the best way to use videos would be to play parts or sections of videos as you teach.  That way the video segments can reinforce what you are teaching or add to your instruction as another tool.  We teach teachers to ask questions, show a video clip, and then discuss the video some more.  Another option is to show a video on a Smartboard so you can pause it and write over it.

I search for a video  based on the subject or topic that is in my lesson.  I take video segments from the main video and creat centers on the computer for the students to watch.  They can watch as many times as they need or want to during their center time.  The segments are not that long and it holds their interest.Use a flash drive and download the segments  individually.  If you download the whole video you want get the segments.  Put them on the computer.
