Thinking Maps (aka) graphic organizers
I use Thinking Maps in my classroom on a daily basis and my students are now using them on their own. I encourage every teacher to be trained with them since they benefit instruction tremendously! I have used a combination Tree Map and Flow Map (Flee) to help my students with organizing their writing. This has been a great help. In addition, I have also paired Thinking Maps up with the Icons of Depth and Complexity, which are also a wonderful tool. Those just take some getting used to! I look forward to seeing how you use the Maps in your classroom! Thanks for sharing!

How many of us have recently used Thinking Maps or graphic organizers? You may be wondering what is this all about and are curious. Well, it is rather complicated and hard to cover in just one blog. However, like any large steak, you have to enjoy it one bite at a time. So, I am going to start this blog to introduce and demonstrate the use of thinking maps in real life classroom experiences. I hope you will learn, contribute and enjoy!
