DEN Book Club

If you haven't heard yet, the DEN is starting its very first book club! We'll be reading Grown Up Digital, by Don Tapscott. And the real treat is that the author will be joining us for the culminating discussion in March!! Very exciting to say the least. You can read all the details at http://denblogs.com/bookclub, but if you want to participate you need to move quickly. First meeting is on Monday, February 9th.

Good Morning!

I figured we might as well start off by introducing ourselves to the group.

My name is Nancy Sharoff (aka Laelia Laval in Second Life). I'm a STAR DENer, a Google Certified Teacher, and yada, yada, yada! LOL I'm a K-4 Technology Facilitator and teach graduate courses in Educational Technology, Classroom Management, and Children's Literature.

I just got my book and will be bringing it with me to PETE & C to read prior to our first get-together on Monday evening. I think this book just might be an excellent supplemental reading for the Ed Tech course.

Hello everyone!

I am Cheryl Lykowski (aka Ceili Bailey in Second Life). I am a DEN STAR and a member of Michigan DEN's LC. I teach 5th grade and have 6 kids of my own.

I started reading the book and have found it quite interesting. I am looking forward to being a part of the DEN book club and can't wait to get started.
