slideshow with all the bells and whistles!!

I am doing a couple of slideshows for approx 100 teens and parents.  (I would love to have a Mac for this, but it hasn't arrived yet-anyday).  I will probably use Movie Maker.

Anyway,  I need to use something that will save to a cd/dvd.  It has lots of pics and music!  I'm going to put in  a few slides with Blabberize.

Does anyone have suggestions about more fun, 'bells and whistles'?  What are your favorites?

If you are just using pictures and music I would recommend using PhotoStory(since your mac has not arrived). It will allow you the freedom to create a slideshow with transitions, cropping, effects like washout, colored pencil, titles, and add your own or create your own music.. You'll find it is very user friendly and also give you the ability to lengthen the amount of time spent on one slide/picture. You can also incorporate PPT slides that you saved as jpg as well. Before I forget you can save the file in a format compatible for DVD. Any questions just fire back!

If you use PPT slides, save them out as BMP's before importing into PhotoStory or any video program. It's uncompressed and will look much better. (PICT on a Mac)

Sounds great!

Device Independent Bitmap is the only choice I have when saving.  Is that the same?

Something quick and easy is animoto at animoto.com. If you sign up as an educator you can do the long videos for free and they already have music you can use. You can also download the video and post it on the web or whervever you want.

I've signed up for Anomoto before and love it.  But I wasn't aware that they have free service for teachers!  How do I sign up for that?

How do I sign up as an educator? I went to sign up but could not find a place where I could indicate I was an educator and then get the all access for free.
