New science curriculum

This question is for anyone currently teaching or has taught in Texas and is aware of the new four sciences requirement.  I am currently an IPC teacher and my school is doing away with it next year.  My options are to teach chemistry or physics. I was thinking abot possibly asking to teach a senior level science course and develop the curriculum for it.  I am thinking of molecular biology and/or genetics.  I have two questions: "What science electives are currently being offered at other schools to fulfill the senior science credit?"  and "Are there any schools in Houston that will continue to teach IPC and if so, how long?"

We have added AP Physics B for next year (we already have AP Phsics C, AP Chem and AP Bio).  We added a lower-level science course for next year, too (I think it is a pre-engineering course of some type) that is supposed to give students science credit.  I think the AP courses are always a good idea.  Just keep in mind that the College Board required curricula be approved in advance before offering AP courses.
