I have a 90 day trial with Discovery Education Science. Do I have to log on as user to allow students and/or teachers to access the information? If not, how do I provide them with access? :-) Thanks a bunch!

Help with the Student

Help with the Student Center!!!!

I have gone through and created an assignment for my students. I have also created a class and assigned them each a username and password. HOW do I get to the Student Center? I have been prompted to have the students go to the student center in order to get their assignments. However, once there, there is no place for them to enter their username or password. It also requests a code for the assignment, which I know is how the regular assignments work. However, the DEScience does not provide a code for the assignment. Please help with an address for the student center as well as how to have students sign in and access my assignments. Thanks!

Within DE Science, your students can access assigned materials by logging into DE at www.discoveryeducation.com with the user account that you had created.

In addition to accessing the assigned materials, students will be able to access your school’s subscribed services. They will be able to search for content and access all resources, except for teacher specific resources (i.e. lesson plans, Teacher Center, Professional Development, etc.).

DEScience seems like a very

DEScience seems like a very exciting tool and I can't wait to use it with my students! I have created an assignment for my students, but do not see a way in which to attach the ebook or other text pages. It is simple to attach the video clips, as well as the activities. Is there a way to attach the written materials, especially the ebook?

Also, is there a way to have students go in to explore the various features of the site on their own? I would love for them to have access to the glossary for independent work...or to be able to access enrichment activities or videos if they are interested in a topic.

mvbetc -

You can assign ebooks and reading passages in Step 2 of the Assignment Builder under the Search for media section. You can narrow your search by selecting the specific media type. Make sure that Discovery Education Library is selected next to search so that you are searching our libraries instead of your My Content.
