Quicktime media type selection for Mac

My
account–My preferences

changed my media settings to reflect

Media
Type Selection: Quicktime 

Player
Selection: Stand-Alone application and saved the changes.

But
when I go back to DE streaming and select a video/segment my media settings
revert back to

Media
Type Selection: Windows Media

Player
Selection: Embed in Web Browser

Any solution for Quicktime to become the default media option for a user account?

Go to My Account in the upper right, go there, then go into My Preferences.  Select QuickTime and it should then be your default choice.  The old version worked that way and it should still work.

Remember that after you select the Windows Media Player as your default player to click on the "Save My Changes" button
