Student Accounts?

Is it possible to create student accounts on United Streaming so that they can access the videos for the assignments?

We created several assignments using videos from United Streaming, but when the students open the video link, it wants them to log in.

I'd rather they NOT have the teacher username & passwords - some students like to change things around, including the password and lessons.

 What to do?

I train teachers to use the Assignment Builder to accomplish what you are asking about.  This permits teachers to provide links to videos with instructions along with mapped objectives and quizzess.  All students would need is the unique assignment code generated at the end of the assignment being created.  Another advantage is that when a student types in their first and last name, an e-mail can be sent to the teacher alerting them to the assignment being completed.

Dean's Assignment Builder solution is a great answer to what it sounds like you're trying to do. It's been a couple of years, but in my former school we were able to let students create student accounts that were limited but allowed the kids to search and download the media. Interested teachers got a unique code to give their classes. Check with your local 'streaming administrator or rep to see if that feature is still available.
