Burleson ISD to Downlink with International Space Station - Come Watch!

NASA approved a proposal from Burleson ISD and named us as one of 5 participating locations for a downlink with astronaut Greg Chamitoff aboard the International Space Station. The downlink will take place on June 26, 2008.

In honor of the event, BISD will be hosting a FREE day of Science and Technology at Burleson High School. We will be joined by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History's mobile interactive experiments, their portable planetarium, a robotics display by students who attended our Science and Technology camp, VIP's, a video conference with NASA experts for a public Q&A session and much more!

The downlink will be video conferenced thanks to sponsorship from Tandberg and you can contact the Region XI Educational Service Center to sign up to watch! The event will also be streamed live on the web and broadcast on NASA TV.

If you live anywhere near Burleson, come on out for a day of FREE family fun from 9:30am-2:00pm. The downlink will occur between 10:00am and 1:00pm - we'll know more closer to the downlink date and publish it on our website - http://it.burlesonisd.net .

You'll be able to see photos, video, and listen to podcasts beginning Monday, June 9th on the Burleson Broadcast Network - http://www.burlesonisd.net/it/BBN/ - or just seach for us on iTunes to pick up our feed. The video and podcasting will be completely student run.
