Questions about the new format

Is anyone having the same trouble I am with the new website format? I can't even find the search button. The only two I have on my tool bar are My DE and DEN. When I try to search for a video, I can only do it by narrowing my search and then looking through a multitude of videos (although I just tried to find something on homophones and what looked like someone's home video was the only thing thing that came up under Language Arts, K-2). When I finally find a video and try to save it to my content, I can't find my content folder anywhere. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me?

Not sure how you're doing

Not sure how you're doing your search as I see many more results for a similar search. That being said, by adjusting the filters, you can include or eliminate user generated content. We have several new help videos in the works that should be added to the site soon.

In the meantime, if you email education_info@discovery.com they should be able to help you out with these issues.

BTW, you can get to My Content from just about anywhere by looking just below the navigation bar, on the right hand side. It's the first link there.

I agree, this new website is now CRAZY. THis is not user friendly at all. I hope they do something about this soon. I have always used United Streaming in my classroom, but now we may end up canceling this expensive tool.

If the new site design is in it's final form, it's horrible, at least as it renders in IE 7. We can't even figure out how to search video titles.

It seems like DES is drifting away from the core services that make it attractive.

Perhaps you are confusing

Perhaps you are confusing our Online Community with Discovery Education streaming itself? The site you are on is the Discovery Educator Network, an online community to support teachers who are passionate about using media to transform classroom experiences.

DE Streaming is our video streaming service, formally known as unitedstreaming. You can get to that by clicking on the tabs along the top. That's where you'll find the videos, search and everything else you seem to be missing.
