Web 2.0 and Disocvery Ed-streaming

I am giving a presentation on Sat. and was updating the 'Presentation PPT' found under professional development. I wanted to add the web 2.0 tools that can support DE-streaming. Can you please list a few for me? Thanks!

Voicethread is a site that allows you to combine images and video with audio/video comments.  Multiple people can all comment on the same page, allowing for some very collaborative projects.

Just about any Web 2.0 site

Just about any Web 2.0 site that allows you to bring in content can support DE streaming.  Just need to keep your final projects private.  But off the top of my head....

On the private note...If a

On the private note...If a child samples video obtained via the Discovery Educator Network and the teacher wants to showcase it on his/her blog, glogster, etc. - the site must be kept to private?  What if the projects cites the fact that they obtained from them?  Do you know where I would find that information here?

They should always be citing

They should always be citing work they're using from outside sources.  Even if they do, projects involving DE video clips would need to be kept private.

The issue has to do with the rights we receive from the people who create those videos.  We don't have permission from them to allow you to re-publish them publicly.  Unfortunately, it's not a decision of ours, it's a decision from the content creators.  SO yes, you can use them in your Web 2.0 projects, but you'd need to publish them behind some sort of protection.

You still can, in two

You still can, in two ways.  Whenver you start to type a search, a drop down box appears.  One of those options will be to choose a content type, and Video Segments is one of the choices.

The other way is to do your keyword search first, and in the results page, along the left hand side you'll see options to filter down the results.  Click on Video Segments, and it will filter things down to just those.

Hope that helps!
