Math & Technology Digital Interviews

Greetings from Missouri!

As a semester project, I am asking my 7th grade students to complete an interview with someone about how math and technology play apart of their career.  I would like to create a site where I could then post the interviews in a podcast like form and use them with future students, share with others, etc.

My intial thought is to use G-cast, but I am seeking suggestions. If you have any suggestions, please share. :-)

Also, if you know of someone who would be great to interview or would like to be interviewed yourself, please contact me via email at   saffield@chillicotheschools.org  Please include the word "Interview" in the subject line.

Thanks!

This comment really isn't appropriate for this assignment, but I'd like readers to consider recreating discoveries of math's (and other subjects') important milestones. Think of interviews or press conferences with famous mathematicians. Imagine Pythagoras selling his theorem on late night TV and throwing in the circumference of a circle if you order within the next 15 minutes. Anthropomorphize: have the students BE the operation symbols (or punctuation marks for language arts) and then act out addition or subtraction. Let them be kinesthetic and get it on tape.--Joe
