With more and more smartboards being added in schools I was wondering if anyone has found a way to jazz up their lessons in a unique way by adding any non smart technologies items.
For example I have always wondered if a nintendo wii could be hooked up to use the brain academy game to practice math /logic problems? Or has anyone found an easy to use wireless mouse so you can control the board from the back of the room?
I have a blue tooth wireless mouse and keyboard that I can use from anywhere in my room. It works well. Another option is a wireless slate, that is hand held and uses a pen as the mouse. The brand that I have is aCPS chalkboard. Here is the link. http://www.einstruction.com/Products/index.cfm

In response to your question, there are SO Many things that you can do with Smartboards. Whether you want to really bring in other technologies or not...there is so much that you can do with the Notebook 10 software. I have done so many differnet things from grades k-12.
In response to using the wireless slates ( Smart brand is called the Airliner) there is something that you could do that can involve more than just one person. By adding the slate, you can actually interact with it with 2 people. ( Imagine racing to complete a math problem)
