Wanted: Voicethread examples for wiki

I am collecting examples of how educators are using Voicethread in their classroom or for professional development on a wiki at: http://voicethread4education.wikispaces.com/

My plan is to share these examples with other technology teachers who provide professional development in their schools.

Feel free to add your own examples or links to resources. Thanks in advance,
Colette

Here is a great example of students using Voicethread to create a video journal (Digitalstory) about Art History through murals.

A French project on "ma famille" was posted onto our teacher wiki at: http://drakepond.pbwiki.com/French+I

It was a nice way of incorporating the oral recording with what used to be a poster project.

My fourth and fifth graders

My fourth and fifth graders did some quick book reports with voicethread. Here is a link to my blog post that links to the projects.

Colette,

Let me know your voice thread account and I will share with you.  I don't have this up for public view, but will gladly share for your wiki.

We used this as an introduction to Rocks.  The students worked in groups of 3 and observed different rocks.  The observations were good, however, some of the groups got crazy with the pen.

I used Voicethread for the first time with a senior Science-Fiction Fantasy Class this year as a way to discuss characters in the book "Watchmen"  I've included the link below but before I would include it in your wiki I'd look over the conversations.  The conversations were relevant to the book but the book contains some mature themes and language so you may not wish to use it on your wiki or may want to warn readers first.

Hi Colette, I love sharing

Hi Colette,

I love sharing VoiceThread resources and seeing how kids are doing with it, especially those who have trouble typing.  Fruchthendler Elementary here in Tucson just got an Ed account for about half the school and they are eager to use it for all kinds of projects.  Teachers are setting up templates for students to use or replace and the 1st grade especially.

When I have trained teachers, I have used the example I created and the others listed on our wiki http://pimarsc.pbwiki.com/Voice-Thread-Example-Projects

The other wiki page http://pimarsc.pbwiki.com/VoiceThread is more or less my training notes, but it links to some of the best examples I have found.

Please keep posting.  I love it!
