Science Teacher

Hi- I thought I would say hi to everyone- I teach Special Education in a self-contained classroom for 6th graders. I have been involved in the United Streaming program for nearly 4 years and I feel so very lucky to have the resources at my finger tips. I have taught in the Fontana, CA school district for eighteen years and until United Streaming I got the name of Copy Queen-- copying everything that TV and Video had to offer so that my students would understand what I was talking about. NOw I don't need to.
The Den has been good to me as well with the wonderful workshops throughout the years. I'm not the computer wizz that some of the people are, but I enjoy picking up information so that my students get the opportunity to learn more about computers in the classroom. Hello!
I thought I would say hi and introduce myself.
I teach high school science and love all the resources at DEN and united streaming. I would like to contribute, but find myself swamped most of the year. I have no big plans for this summer so will hopefully be able to organize myself and use some technology to make life easier next year.
Our school is really pusing technology and I have access to some really nice programs. I just need time to learn how to use them.
I currently teach freshmen science, biology, chemistry AND physics. I have my fingers crossed that next year I will only teach biology and physics. four totally different classes is killing me! I don't know which way is up most days.
