Dear Dr. Health E. Body was a 5th grade collaborative project with the Library Media Specialist and 5th grade Science teachers. The goal of the project was to develop a project based learning experience that encouraged students to analyze, evaluate, draw conclusions, defend and their research. The unit of study was about body systems and how they work and how different dieases can affect how the system works. The first document Dear Dr. Health E. Body describes the process we used to set up the project. The supporting documents are the letters we composed to get the students to start thinking about an illness and its affect on the body.
